Alternatively, it can occasionally be bought from a consignment shop or can be bought from Buydebug. The reason why green should always be last is due to the fact its power-up sequence has the section with the power bars moving, which can make it difficult to keep an accurate count of how far you’ve charged it.Īcquiring: This invention can be discovered at level 4 or later of the Inventing skill. This pattern can vary a bit, but green should always be last. As such, I recommend a pattern of 3 blue, then 2 red, then 3 green. Note: The power bars on the top of the tower have eight slots for powering up.
It can save you from having to edit town to place metal spawners all over the town or having to use a mod like Traveler to head to another town to collect metals. Recommendation: Get this machine as soon as you can. The can result in quite the collecting frenzy for you and a possible visit by aliens, so use it wisely. How it helps: If you light the power bars at the top of the tower with a semi-even mix of the three colors, it will cause gems, metals, space rocks, and the occasional University gnome to rain from the sky in bubbles and cover the lot you are on. As far as I can tell, there is no other way to get it. Recommendation: If you want to collect space rocks very rapidly, grab this life state.Īcquiring: The Group Science Project, or Science Tower Thingy as I like to call it, is automatically put in your family inventory when a sim hits level 10 in the Science skill. They can also transmute objects to make them more valuable, but I have never really found that worth the effort. Just head to an empty lot and summon a meteor, then collect all of the space rocks left lying around. Gnome or tries to rob your house, this ability makes collecting meteors massively easier. Aside from the comedy value this has for tormenting anyone who dares to give you an Evil Mr. Recommendation: If you are going to collect plants from the wild, use this life state.Īdvantages: Their primary advantage is the ability to summon meteors. This makes them rather invaluable for collecting plants in the wild, as they are not stuck waiting for a plant to fully mature like other sims are. In addition, at higher fairy magic levels, they have the Bloom ability, which can allow them to quickly make a plant harvest-ready. So, once that is ready, I will add witches!Īdvantages: Fairies are natural gardeners, having the green thumb trait. ♦ The witch is left out because my artist friend is making a witch for me. The fae, on the other hand, have the bloom ability, which allows them to quickly be able to harvest plants that are not already harvest-ready. ♦ The plantsim was left out due to the fact that, while they are a great gardener, they are just that: A gardener and nothing more. There are also certain life states that could qualify, but were left out:
Especially since most life states have absolutely nothing to do with collecting and offer absolutely nothing for it. These life states are added on as I come across them, though as one can expect they are quite rare. There are certain life states which help a lot with collectibles. A list of items to add will be maintained at the bottom of this section. I will, as time goes on, add more items to this list as I’m reminded of them or I stumble across them. Each of these items is something I have found helpful or at some time used, though this list is probably not complete after all, there’s such of a variety of items that help you out with finding collectibles that it can be troublesome to remember them all rather than just sticking with your favorites. One of the things I have found massively easier about collecting is if you obtain the necessary tools to let you know where the collectibles are, or better yet bring the collectibles to you. Included will be my method of obtaining, unless it’s a gnome and I cheated to get it, and other known methods. And, of course, the new collectibles from Into the Future as soon as it is released. It is devoted to covering gems, metals, plants, fish, insects, seashells, and even those annoying gnomes that like to wake sims up with a blaring stereo at 3 AM.
This article contains information and pictures of each collectible, as soon as I find them. Picture to go here as soon as I find a good one
